As I look at the growth of the Texas Coalition for Affordable (TCAP) over the last 20 years, I am extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish. Over the years, we have helped our members attain competitive energy rates, lobbied on their behalf, and kept our members up to date on changes within the Texas electric energy market as well as the Public Utility Commission. Since its inception, the organization has served more than 211 local governments and political subdivisions. TCAP is governed by an elected board of your peers consisting of 15 local government officials.

It is rewarding to know our members trust that we have their best interest at heart. When I became Executive Director of the TCAP in 2020, I pledged to bring the same level of commitment, dedication, and integrity that existed during my local government career to TCAP. My devotion to public service and belief that we have a higher standard to uphold is why we at TCAP aim to support municipalities and other political subdivisions. This support includes providing the most honest and transparent information to assist in making an informed decision about their electricity needs. TCAP understands the diverse needs of our members and makes great efforts to respond accordingly.
